While I may not be the best artist on earth, I have learned so much during my time here. I can play with paint and paper. I can show up just for fun! The seasons, classes and workshops challenge me. The hangouts motivate me. The Messy members encourage me at every turn. I've learned that I can call myself an artist and it's true.
Thank you, Caylee and the Get Messy Team for taking this "not much of an artist" and transforming me into someone who enjoys nothing more than to take a lesson or set of prompts and interpret them in a way that suits me. Who knew that when I joined I would grow into an artist?!
Get Messy is an art journaling paradise. Every technique that I ever wanted to learn is out there in one of the seasons, usually more than once in many different combinations with many different mediums. I treat it as a curriculum to follow season by season, lesson by lesson. It makes having a daily practice easy, because all the programming is already done for me. I just need to show up, do a lesson, and practice.
I could never have imagined how far I could come as an artist, before I joined Get Messy. Get Messy has brought the little seed of yearning to create art, which I always carried with me as an impossible dream, into full bloom.
It’s quite amazing how for a small monthly fee Caylee and her supreme team and all their thoughtfulness can provide such a wondrous place for artists of all backgrounds and capacities to share and play together. Workshops, Classes, and Hangouts are always open and fun. The diversity of work created by everyone shows just how special it is here. In my three months here I’ve participated in several zoom hangouts, signed up for classes and participated in swaps with other artists. If you have any reservations about joining in.. Don’t!!!!
When I joined Get Messy in December of 2021, I was searching for a community of like-minded artists. I have loved the international and diverse group that I have found here over the last two years.
To learn, to be encouraged and motivated to create more art has always been why I’ve stayed.
Get Messy is a super supportive and kind community. Creating alongside other Messians has built my confidence and my skills. Their artwork and ideas inspire my own learning, which in turn motivates me to continue building a regular art practice.

For a monthly Membership or Membership+, your credit/debit card or PayPal account will be billed on the day in which you sign up for a membership and the same day each month thereafter. Any membership started between the 29th and 31st will be first billed on that day, but will be billed on the 1st in subsequent months.

You can update your payment method through your account here. Just click on “update” under your payment method.
It is saved and you can pick up where you left off if you reinstate your membership!
