This season is a journey where creativity is your compass and exploration is your guide. This month, we’re diving deep into the art of uncovering hidden gems within our creative practice, and we have an inspiring collection of lessons to help you dig up and celebrate your artistic treasures.

First, Karen Liz Hofius invites us to embrace the boundless freedom of art journaling. With her guidance, we’ll learn to navigate the exhilarating and sometimes overwhelming world of creativity. Karen will share her approach to starting with one idea, experimenting with different types of journals, and discovering our personal style through playful exploration. Liz’s lesson is all about unleashing your inner artist and playing with layers and textures to create a journal cover that’s both unique and deeply personal.

Lastly, Ika Vantiani is sharing how to bring forth the ideas from within. Get excited about the types of treasures she puts in her art journal, and how you can make even something as mundane as food a delight, once it goes into the journal.

Karen Liz Hofius is an expressive mixed-media artist, obsessed with colors, layers and textures. Living a creative life and documenting it is her passion. Karen is American and lives in Germany with her husband in a fairytale river valley of castles and vineyards.

Liz Constable

Liz is an accomplished book artist and author who has established an international audience from her studio in New Zealand. She’s inspired by nature, loves random things, art, teaching, woodworking, odd interactions, writing and travelling. Liz has always been fascinated by words and how they can be artistically used to enhance a story, and when she puts books and words together, the magic happens.

Ika Vantiani

Ika Vantiani is a self-taught artist that mostly talks about women, media and consumption on her works. She always start her idea with something within or around herself. She lives inside a house by the cemetery at the busy south of Jakarta, Indonesia.
