Welcome to the Season of Binding—a time to let creativity flow in all its beautiful, messy, layered forms! This month, we’re celebrating the small moments and cozy rituals that make art a part of everyday life, whether you’re in the studio or just dreaming up ideas over a good cup of coffee.
Rae will be showing you how even the simplest daily rituals-lifting the shades, lighting a candle, setting up your art space-can spark creativity, if you open your heart to it. Later on, she leads you into a lesson all about layering: each mark, sketch, and hidden note turns a journal page into a quiet place where you can be yourself without putting everything out in the open. It’s a perfect way to create without overthinking, to express without pressure.
Then there’s Tania, who’s here to help you get playful with what you already have. She’s out to remind you that creativity doesn’t have to be about getting more-it can be about using what’s around you in new, fun ways.
And finally, Colleen packed you in her suitcase for a creative getaway in Tuscany. You’ll get to see her process in capturing memories, stitching pieces together, and letting her art box grow with the moments of her trip. You’ll also learn layering those moments and emotions onto the page, whether that’s through paint, fabric, or a sketch that will surprise you with how perfectly it fits.
Rae Missigman, mixed media artist, author and instructor, is known for her vivid colors, intricate layering, and signature repetitive art marks. As an artist, Rae believes that creativity can be accomplished in bite sized pieces during even the busiest days. As an instructor, Rae strongly encourages all artists to trust themselves to fearlessly do what they love. She champions a bold voice, continuing education and finding inspiration in the everyday.
Tania is a Serial Gel Printer and Mixed Media Artist based in UK - originally from Pakistan, her style is eclectic, she loves bold colours, clashing patterns and is a self declared texture junkie. She is passionate about her love of art and teaching everything that she has learnt through trial and error. Tania believes that being creative is a way of life and that everyone can find joy through little pockets of peace in their hobbies.
Colleen Attara is a storyteller, a photographer, a mixed media artist, and at her core a defiant creative who sees possibility in everything and everyone. She teaches others how to create spaces to hold the heavy parts of themselves and sew them tenderly between journal pages.
Her superpower is connecting others to their unique creativity by leading them back to the kind of joy they felt as a child when they played with paint, paper and thread.
Zero expectations. Zero pressure. All the fun.
