What is art journaling to you?
Art journaling is a time to play, a place to release fears and space to make mistakes. I love exploring and trying new creative tools or techniques in my journal. My art journal is always there for me when I’m stuck and it always feels like a safe place to let out my emotions. It allows me a chance to discover more about myself through art making. Art journaling is a healing practice and a wonderful tool for expanding your creative wings. I love art journaling so much!
What does community do for your art?
Art making lights me up, but it wouldn’t be as enjoyable without a creative community to connect with. I believe one of the best parts of sharing my artwork online is that it leads me to meet really unique and open-minded people from all over the world. I feel like there’s a common thread linking all us artsy people together. Like when you find out someone does art journaling or likes to collage or make messy artwork you know you share a similar vibe and it just feels nice knowing others share the same passions in life. It’s nice to not be the only person who takes a moment to decides if a tea bag wrapper should be tossed or kept as future collage paper.
